Biography

Ruby is a senior commercial lawyer with the Ontario Ministry of Attorney General (“MAG”) and provides legal and strategic advice to the Ministry of the Environment, Conservation and Parks and most of its agencies. She is also a registered nurse with past experience in pre and post-operative surgical care units of an acute care academic health sciences centre. She has significant corporate governance experience on various boards in the health and social services sectors. Most recently she was a member of the Board of Governors for a community academic hospital for 7 years. She is a board member of Mackenzie Health, a co-chair of the Legal Excellence Committee at the MAG, and a member of the Governance and Nominating Committee of the Ontario Lung Association and a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors.
